Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about roofing, insurance claims, storm damage, financing, warranties, and timelines — so you can make confident decisions for your home.
Roofing Basics
How do I know if I need a new roof?+
Common signs include missing, curling, or cracked shingles, granules in your gutters, visible sagging, daylight in the attic, or a roof older than 15–20 years. We offer a free, no-obligation inspection to tell you exactly where you stand.
How long does a roof replacement take?+
Most residential roof replacements are completed in a single day. Larger or more complex homes may take two to three days. We'll give you a clear timeline before we start.
What roofing materials do you install?+
We install GAF architectural and 3-tab shingles, standing seam and panel metal roofing, modified bitumen for flat and low-slope roofs, plus gutters. As a GAF-certified contractor we offer premium systems with strong warranties.
Do you offer free inspections and estimates?+
Yes. Every roof inspection and written estimate is completely free with no obligation.
Insurance Claims
Do you help with insurance claims?+
Absolutely — it's one of the things homeowners thank us for most. We document the damage, meet your adjuster on-site, and advocate for a fair, full approval from start to finish.
What is a roofing supplement?+
A supplement is an additional request to your insurance company for costs the initial estimate missed — like code upgrades, extra layers, or hidden damage. We handle supplements so your claim reflects the true scope of work.
Will filing a claim raise my rates?+
Storm and hail damage are typically classified as 'acts of nature,' which generally don't raise individual rates the way at-fault claims can. We always recommend confirming specifics with your insurer.
What if my claim is denied?+
A denial isn't always the end. We can re-inspect, document overlooked damage, and request a re-evaluation. Many initially denied claims are approved on a second look.
Storm & Hail Damage
How soon should I get my roof inspected after a storm?+
As soon as it's safe. Catching damage early prevents leaks and interior damage, and many insurers have time limits for filing storm claims.
Can hail damage be invisible from the ground?+
Yes. Hail bruising and granule loss are often impossible to see from the ground but seriously shorten your roof's life. Our trained specialists know exactly what to look for.
Do you offer emergency services?+
Yes. If you have an active leak or storm damage, visit our Emergency page or call us right away — we'll help protect your home fast.
Deductibles & Financing
How does my deductible work?+
When insurance approves your claim, you're responsible for your deductible and insurance covers the rest of the approved scope. We'll walk you through your exact numbers before any work begins.
Can I finance my deductible or upgrades?+
Yes. Through GoodLeap you can finance your deductible, repairs, or premium upgrades with affordable monthly payments. See our Financing page for examples and to apply.
Do you offer payment plans?+
Yes — flexible monthly payment plans are available through GoodLeap, often with little to no money down and fast approvals.
Warranties & Timelines
What warranty comes with my roof?+
As a GAF-certified contractor, we offer manufacturer-backed material warranties plus our own workmanship warranty. We'll confirm your exact coverage in writing.
How far out are you scheduling?+
Scheduling varies by season and weather, but we move quickly — especially for active leaks and approved insurance claims. We'll give you a firm date once your project is confirmed.
What happens on installation day?+
Our crew protects your landscaping, tears off the old roof, inspects and repairs the decking, installs your new system to GAF specifications, then performs a full cleanup and magnetic nail sweep before a final walkthrough with you.
